Taking the time to start my day feeling good has made a huge difference in my life.

It doesn’t guarantee a perfect day, but it definitely increases the odds.

There have been mornings when fear gripped me so tightly, I could barely move.

On those days, I tell myself, “I’m not getting out of bed until I feel good.”

Sometimes it takes a minute. Sometimes twenty minutes or more. But it’s always worth it.

Then if I add in short breaks during the day for hypnosis or self-hypnosis- I find feeling good becomes effortless.

But if I let negative rants run wild in my mind, I’m a goner.

Usually, I need to distract myself until the storm passes. A funny movie, a good book, anything that shifts my focus away.

It’s like a fire: if I don’t feed it, it eventually burns out.

Yesterday, I forgot all that for a short while.

I was trying to turn a client’s hypnosis recording into a subliminal, but the tech had changed. What used to work no longer did.

I flashed back to a day last month when I spent five hours troubleshooting a similar issue. I instantly hit resistance.

This isn’t how I want to spend my day. I had planned to record for my new course. Stress crept in.

I should’ve paused to reset and waited until I had a better attitude before continuing, but I didn’t.

The bad mood took hold.

A temporary solution presented itself quickly, but I was stuck in a stubborn mindset and kept pushing for it to work my way-with no success.

Eventually, I backed off and used the alternative option, and it got me the result I wanted in just minutes.

But I was still worked up.

Some healthy distractions helped, and by evening, I felt good again.

But wow… I made it so much harder than it needed to be.

A beautiful reminder for me to back off and take the time to reset and recenter.
