Hello Beautiful, Sharon,

Chances are, you won't regret not worrying enough.

Nobody gets to the end of life wishing they had spent more time worrying, feeling sorry for themselves, or focusing on what wasn't working.

But I'm not saying there's something wrong with you when you worry, feel disappointed, frustrated, or sorry for yourself.

Negative emotions are an essential part of being human. They are your built-in system to keep you safe, guide you toward happiness, and open you up to a better life.

Think about moving too close to a hot wood stove and feeling pain. The pain isn't the problem. The problem would be ignoring the pain and the wisdom it's giving you: back away before you get burned.

Our emotions work the same way.

If a car suddenly comes speeding toward you as you cross the street, your body can respond with a rush of adrenaline that helps you get out of the way fast. That's your built-in safety system doing its job.

But negative emotions can guide us toward happiness, too.

Feeling sorry for yourself might be saying, “I want more of what I don't have, and I don't believe I can get it.”

Worry might be saying, “I'm scared about the future, and I don't believe things will work out for me.”

Disappointment can show you what you want more of. Frustration can point you toward something you want to change.

The question is, what do you do with that information?

Many of us learned that negative emotions are bad. We learned to push them away, judge ourselves for having them, or make them mean something about our worth.

If your mind automatically goes to what's wrong, what you're missing, or what could go badly, you're not doing anything wrong. It's common. Your brain has simply become practiced at responding that way.

And your brain learns from what you repeatedly think and do.

This is one reason I love hypnosis.

I don't use hypnosis to get rid of negative emotions. I help people change the old messages and automatic responses they've learned around them.

So it's not about whether you have negative emotions. We all do. It's about what you do with them. Do you use them as guidance to bless your life, or unintentionally turn them against yourself and create more suffering?

You don't have to stay stuck in a feeling to honor it. You can listen to it, receive its wisdom, and choose what comes next.

When those patterns change, old triggers can become less powerful. You have more freedom to feel better, think differently, and see possibilities that weren't available to you before.

I've practiced this myself for years, and these last few weeks gave me another opportunity to put it into practice.

My car broke down, and the parts were taking weeks to arrive.

And then the familiar thoughts started popping up:

I'm missing out. Why does everybody else get to have things work out for them? Everything is going wrong ...

You know those thoughts. We all have them. And if I kept feeding them, I knew exactly where they would take me: misery and suffering.

I know that rabbit hole. So instead, I showed up for what I was feeling and asked myself:

“How do I want to feel?”

I wanted to feel blessed. I wanted to appreciate what I have instead of focusing on lack.

And as I shifted my attention, I started seeing the blessings already around me.

People offered me rides, and I got to spend time with them. We had my husband's truck, and he was running errands for me, giving me more time to do other things.

Those good thoughts led me to more appreciation - I have a beautiful home and live in a beautiful place, with trails right outside our door...

And from that space, my mind opened up.

I could feel at peace with not having my car for now. I could see unexpected gifts in the situation. And I felt open for possibilities ...

Your emotions aren't the enemy. They are part of your built-in guidance system, helping you find your way toward a happier better life.

There is no better gift than feeling good in the present moment.

In joy,

Sharon

P.S. I meant to create a package special for this week, but decided to keep it simple and run this special again. If there's something you've been wanting to shift, this is a great time to do it.

Sometimes we can't change what is, but we can change how we experience it.

Bring one thing you'd like to change.

Maybe it's grief that is coloring your days...

“My spouse died, and I feel such sadness coloring my world ...”

Maybe it's fear about someone you love...

“My dad has Alzheimer's, and I feel scared and don't know how to help ...”

Or worry about the future...

“My husband lost his job, and I'm constantly worrying about the future and how we'll make it ...”

Imagine feeling differently about that one thing.

You don't have to know exactly how. That's what we'll work on together.

One Session, Big Shifts:

Molly was struggling with the challenges of parenting her special needs child:

"... Phrases she said ...“ There is no question in my mind that you can handle this and you can experience this in a new way. She helped me see that I could be present ... I could be engaged, ... I did not have to be swayed or damaged by whatever anyone else threw my way ... [After the session] I felt I had a kind of bubble around me. I was still fully present but I didn’t feel triggered ... Working with Sharon is transformative... I feel better and stronger and kinder and I am grateful for the help." Molly Connolly

Angele was consumed with fears about her business and the future:

"... so many fears [about money and future ]... I was focusing on the negative "What might happen?" "How am I going to get out of this?" ... You made something so fearful to me so simple and easy to address ..." Angele Christina
