Hello Beautiful, Sharon,

Did you know your brain doesn't just process what you touch...

It gives meaning to it.

Your skin collects information about pressure, texture, temperature, movement, and touch.

Your brain interprets that information and shifts its attention to where it believes it needs to, helping keep you safe.

Sometimes the brain turns the volume up, making ordinary sensations feel overwhelming.

You're hyperfocused on your scratchy sweater. It makes you irritated and unable to focus at work.

A food texture is intolerable, leaving you choking it down or unable to eat it at all.

Sometimes the brain turns the volume down, so you don't notice sensations that deserve your attention.

You ignore pain during a yoga stretch, keep going, and tear a hamstring.

You barely notice how hot you are, keep working, and end up with heat exhaustion.

The good news is your brain is clever and can learn to become more discerning.

NOTE: Sensory changes can have physical, neurological, medication-related, or other causes that deserve appropriate medical attention. This hypnosis work is not a replacement for medical care. It explores the possibility that attention, emotions, beliefs, and learned responses may also influence how you experience and respond to sensation.

One client learned as a child to ignore aches and pain because she had chores to finish. If she didn't, her dad would get angry.

As an adult, she no longer had to push through, but the pattern remained. She would ignore what her body was telling her and end up exhausted or injured.

In our sessions, she adopted new patterns and was delighted by the changes she experienced in both her physical and mental well-being.

Hypnosis is a focused state that can help you work with attention, beliefs, and learned associations, creating new ways for your brain to respond.
